What exactly is included in my order?

Your CDs will be converted to mp3 format and loaded on your iPOd.  All the music files will then be put on a DVD as a back-up and organized by artist, album, and genre. A print out of all songs loaded and how they are organized will be included in your order.

What format and bit rate will my CDs be put in?

We will put your music into mp3 format and use 192 kbps, which is typical CD quality.  The faster the bit rate, the higher sound quality you will get.  If you would like to request a higher bit rate, please indicate so, but be aware that we will have to adjust charges for that service.

Are there any CDs you can’t rip?

We can’t rip mix tape CDs or CD-Rs.  We also can’t do much with CDs that have been overly scratched. We will do our best to load them, but we can’t make any guaranteed. You will not be charged for CDs we can not rip.

Can I add more songs to my iPod after you have loaded it?

Absolutely!  As long as there is more space in your iPod, you can always add more songs. Check out magnatune.com for some great music downloads!

Can AlissaRips add more songs after all my CDs have been loaded?

Yes, you can order songs through us and we will load them for $1.  That’s the price of iTunes but already loaded!

Can you rip cassette or vinyl?

Unfortunately, at this point we are not equipped to load cassette or vinyl onto iPods.

Are there any hidden fees?

No.  We charge a ripping fee and a delivery fee, if you choose to use delivery, and that’s it.

How can I be sure I will get back everything I give to you?

When we collect your CDs and iPod we will have you sign a Terms of Service agreement and record the number of CDs you have as well as the serial number on your iPod.

Is this legal?

Yes it is...as long as you don’t file share. This hurts artists and if we want to continue to have great music, we need to support them.  Check out www.magnatune.com for a great new record label that actually support file-sharing and free previews.

How safe is this site? Is my information protected?
